I want to file a case against Ricky for breach of agreement. I had him foster our community cat and it was our oral agreement (through text and in person) that he will give me the information of the people who will adopt. In Aug 22, 2023, he adopted the cat out without my final consent and won’t give me any information. I want to file a case but he is also mentioning that I am harassing them.
I hope you can help me decide if I have a either or both
- Strong case of the oral agreement breach
- Defense against possible harassment order
Please note that I am a Green Card holder and would not want anything to affect my status here. But I still would like to get justice for what has happened to me.
Possible claim against him:
- Breach of contract
- Tort – emotional and mental damage. I did not go to the doctor but at this point, I am willing to go seek therapy as I am feeling that emotion again, that I am helpless in all of this. Once in a while I am also crying because of not being able to see Snow again.
- I have friends and a workmate who can testify for me. Even some of my friends in the music community know about how depressed I got.
- I may have videos of me crying – my husband might have some videos and I may have saved it. I deactivated IG for more than a year because of the situation and before that, almost all my posts were about Snow and my grief.
